Mei Hatsume

Mei Hatsume (発目明 Hatsume Mei)is one of the students in U.A High School. She is part of the Department of Support Class 1-H. Her Quirk is Zoom. Hatsume's Japanese voice actor is Azu Sakura. Her English voice actor is Alexis Tipton.

Appearances

Hatsume has shoulder-length pink hair with yellow eyes with an aimer-like look in her eyes. She wears the PE uniform with gadgets all over her and a steampunk-like goggles.

Personality

Hatsume is an enthusiastic, assertive smart person who usually gets overally excited and gets awfully close to people making most uncomfortable. She also aims to get big companies to notice her "super cute babies".

Quirk and Abilities

Zoom: This Quirk allows Hatsume to magnify from afar. With it she saw Midoriya that caught her attention. If she really focuses, she is able to see form five kilometers away.

She's also a genius inventor where she had made over 200 inventions.

Weaknesses

Hatsume's Quirk is not suitable for combat. Thus, her relying on her inventions.

History

During the U.A Sports Festival, Hatsume was one of the students of Class 1-H. She completes the Obstacle Race. Later, at the Falls course, where Uraraka and Ashido had trouble passing, she rockets herself into the sky and starts showing off her "babies". Ashido asks why Mei gets to have equipment with Mei saying that she is the invented them which would make the competition fair since those who are in the Hero course gets to train their Quirks. Hatsume uses her Wire Arrow and Hover Soles to finish the course.

She was then seen looking to join a team in the Calvary Battle. She spots Midoriya, knowing that he carries the headband with a million points and if she joins she will be able to get someattention on her inventions and so equip her teammates. During the battle, she asks Midoriya hows her babies with him replying that the babies are amazing. She was surprised when Midoriya broke the sole of the Hover Sole when they were stuck by a sphere from Mineta. Midoriya's team was then confronted by Todoroki's and had their one million worth points headband snatched. Midoriya then was able to snatch one of theirs but Hatsume points out that he got the wrong one. Midoriya was about to apologise to his teammates but Uraraka and Hatsume points at Tokoyami who apparently had took a headband that was enough to bring them to the semifinals.

She then offered Iida some of her gadgets to make the battle fair and with that Iida took this generous offer. As they started, she starts showing off her inventions to the audience. Whereas Iida look like a joke. Hatsume spots some of the companies taking notice and goes on talking about ehr inventions for 10 minutes before walking out of bounds on purpose. She thanked and apologize to Iida for advertising, with this, Iida dislike her.
