Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya (緑谷 出久 Midoriya Izuku) is the main protagonist of My Hero Academia. He was born without a Quirk, until one day he captures the attention of the legendary superhero All Might. After that day, he got the Quirk, One For All. He is the ninth user of it.



He is now a pupil of the U.A High School. His voice actor of his adult-self is Daiki Yamashita. As for when he was a kid, his voice actor Akeno Watanabe.

Quirk and Abilities

Formerly being Quirkless, Izuku was entrusted with All Might's Quirk, One For All, after he ingested a piece of his hair. The Quirk gives him superhuman strength, reflexes and speed. The biggest drawback is his body getting injured and sometimes fractured from using it, making him use it sparingly.

Izuku is an analytical thinker and is extremely resourceful in whatever situation he is place in. He tends to overthink things sometimes and is prone to muttering to himself.

Izuku has a large amount of knowledge on Heroes and Villains from years of studying, observing and writing about them in his numerous notebooks.

Trivia

• Izuku's name contains the kanji for "green" (緑), "valley" (谷), "coming out/being from a certain place" (出) and "long ago" (久).
• "Deku" (デク) is another reading of his name Izuku (出久). Written with different kanji, it can mean a wooden figure or puppet, used as an insult for someone who can't do or achieve anything. 
• Izuku's favorite food are pork cutlet noodles.
