Tenya Iida

Tenya Iida (飯田天哉 Īda Ten'ya) is one of the students from U.A High School. He is training to become a Pro Hero. He is from and is the class president of Class 1-A. His Quirk is Engine. Iida's Japanese voice actor is Kaito Ishikawa. His English dub voice actor is J. Michael Tatum.


Iida is part of the the Iida family who were the generations of the Team Idaten. His brother is Tensei Iida, also known as the Turbo Hero Ingenium.

Appearance

Iida is a tall, muscular young man with short dark blue hair that is comb of to one side and he wears rectangular half-framed glasses with blue eyes.. He has built-in engines in his calves.

In his hero costume, he wears a black suit with a high collar. Over that, he wears a white armor consisting a chestplate, a metal collar, and really bulky boots specialized for his Quirk. He also has mufflers around his midriff and extends to his back. He occasionally wears his white helmet that covers his entire face except for his eyes.

Personality

Iida moves like a robot and is very noble and acts responsibly over his actions. Despite looking quite severe, Iida is actually straightforward earnest and serious. He would usually jump to conclusion. As Class President, he cares and worries about his classmates. He shows dislike to rude and unmannered actions. He also takes his role seriously that he is great for acting. He admires his big brother for being a hero and hopes to be a hero just like him.

Quirks and Abilities

Engine: Iida is able to go turbo fast with the built-in engines located at his calves. He can do swift kicks that's too fast for dodging.

Recipro Burst: His special move where he will go on maximum speed for a certain amount of time. In this state, he is too fast to be dodged.

Weaknesses

Iida can only combat in melee. Plus, if he uses Recipro Burst, his engines will stall for a certain amount of time. His engines too need to be cooled down and he can't move if his engines are clogged.
